At the heart of the festival is the Central Sulawesi concept of Sintuvu or collaboration. Sintuvu is derived from the local word tuvu (which means “life”) and si (“work”). The connecting letter “n” refers to a collaborative act. Therefore, the Palu Solende Percussion act is based on the collaboration of various art and culture activists in a network that spans Indonesia and the world.
